Crafts

This year’s craft was a bracelet with different colored beads. Each bead represents a different part of our life with Christ.

BLACK – the broken, dark parts of life – sin

CROSS – the cross is the most important event in history – change the course of mankind. Mankind has the potential to get back to God. Being in relationship with God is a better quality life.

RED – the blood Jesus shed at the cross is what allows our sins to be forgiven.

WHITE – the blood makes our lives pure and able to be in relationship with God.

BLUE – baptism is a symbol of the new pure nature we receive, a nature able to resist sin.

GREEN – another benefit of the cross is the ongoing growth and changes in our life and attitudes that God works in our life as we submit to His ways. (Cooperation becomes more evident, kindness, less desire for things, helping others, working hard in school, being more cheerful)

GOLD – someday, because we have been made pure by the cross, we will see glory…the face of God.
